Our first book group a year ago focused on Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow which has absolutely been one of our books of the year and which loads of our members loved. One year on, it felt right to revisit Zevin and celebrate one of her earlier books, The Storied Life of AJ Fikry which I read while we were in the process of setting up the shop and was inspired by the story of how bookshops create magic and community. It’s a change of pace from our recent choices – heartwarming, easy going and really comforting. We’ll be getting together on Wednesday 15 November at 7pm. Wine, tea all the usual.
